I built this platform because I also send money home every month.

I'm Salvadoran. I studied my entire undergrad in El Salvador, then earned a Chevening Scholarship to do my master's at the London School of Economics. I've lived in Costa Rica, in Panamá, and today I live in London. I'm self-made — I learned the value of every dollar by building it, not inheriting it. That drive is what got me here, and it's what makes me obsessed with creating opportunity for others who started where I did.

Every month, like millions of Salvadorans abroad, I send money home. And every month I have the same thought: this money keeps my people safe, but it doesn't build anything that lasts. After years working across global organizations and finishing my master's, I realized the diaspora has never had a real channel to invest in the place we still call home. That channel is what RetornaCapital is — and this is my opportunity to give back to my people in El Salvador, building a tool that helps everyone in the country and every Salvadoran in the diaspora, wherever we are.

This is my way of giving back — a tool for those who stayed and for all of us who, like me, never stopped returning.
